BRIEF: Body found wrapped in plastic in Burbank is identified as North Hollywood man

April 29--A man whose body was dumped, wrapped in plastic, near railroad tracks in Burbank was identified as a 30-year-old North Hollywood resident Nshan Balyan, police said.

Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide but don't know where or how the man was killed, said Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

Police said they received a call shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday reporting the discovery of the man's body behind the Stock Building Supply store in the 600 block of North Victory Boulevard in an open field near two rusted train cars covered in graffiti.

Balyan's body was covered in dark plastic, his bare feet exposed.

Los Angeles County coroner's officials used fingerprints to identify Balyan. An autopsy is pending.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage collected in the area.
