Sept. 24--The Chicago Blackhawks continued to pare down their roster for the 2015-16 season when they released forward Graham Knott from training camp Thursday.
Knott was on the ice for 13 minutes, 55 seconds and didn't record a shot on goal during the Hawks' 4-1 exhibition game loss to the Red Wings in Detroit on Wednesday night. Knott did record one hit and was 1-for-9 in the faceoff circle.
On Thursday, Knott tweeted: "Unbelievable time in Chicago and at Notre Dame these past few weeks. Excited to be heading back to Niagara for another season!"
The Hawks' active roster now includes 32 forwards, 21 defensemen and five goaltenders.
