Jan. 23--Just Tuesday, the Blackhawks set a franchise record with their 12th consecutive victory.
Over the last two games, the Hawks look as if they have forgotten how to play winning hockey.
The Panthers lead the Hawks 3-0 after the first period in which they dominated. Reilly Smith got the scoring going when he took the puck in close on Darling and beat him top shelf at 10 minutes, 19 seconds.
Then at 17:18, former Hawk Brian Campbell sent home a shot from the point for his third goal of the season.
That seemed to be the extent of the damamge until Quinton Howden got free in the final seconds of the period. Howden put a shot on Darling that Darling likely should have stopped. But the puck trickled past Darling and into the net for a 3-0 Panthers lead.
Richard Panik is back in the lineup Friday after missing Thursday's game. Jiri Sekac is making is Hawks debut.
