BRIEF: Blackhawks raise season ticket prices

March 18--The Blackhawks announced Friday that the average season ticket price will increase 6 percent.

In a packet being sent to season ticket holders Friday, the team said that tickets will range from $55 in the 300 level-tier 3 to $475 in the 100 level platiunum seats.

Last year, the Hawks hiked prices by an average of 8 percent. The season ticket holder renewal rate, last year, was approximately 99 percent, the team said.

This is the seventh straight season that the Hawks have raised ticket prices. The team has won three Stanley Cups over the previous six seasons.

Here are the season ticket price categories:

100-level platinum: $475 per game ($20,900 for the full season)

100-level tier 1: $215 ($9,460)

100-level tier 2: $200 ($8,800)

100-level tier 3: $155 ($6,820)

200-level tier 1: $150 ($7,600)

200-level tier 2: $130 ($6,720)

300-level tier 1: $97 ($4,268)

300-Level tier 2: $77 ($3,388)

300-Level tier 3: $55 ($2,420)

Season ticket holders get a discount over single-game ticket buyers, ranging from 7 to 29 percent.
