Feb. 12--Even though Artemi Panarin missed the last two games because of an illness and did not practice Friday, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said the Hawks are hopeful Panarin can dress Saturday against the Ducks.
Quenneville said Panarin was at the United Center on Friday working out off the ice.
"We're encouraged there today," Quenneville said. "He was around. Didn't skate today, but he was working out off the ice, so he made good progress today. So at the same rate, tomorrow hopefully he's playing."
The Blackhawks offense has struggled without Panarin in the lineup the last two games, both Hawks losses. The Sharks shut them out on Tuesday and while the Hawks scored two goals on Thursday, those goals did not come until the Hawks were down 4-0 to the Stars.
Jiri Sekac was skating in Panarin's place on the second line in Friday's practice with Patrick Kane and Artem Anisimov.
