BRIEF: Blackhawks get forward Liam Coughlin from Oilers

July 07--The Blackhawks acquired forward Liam Coughlin from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for goaltender Anders Nilsson.

Coughlin, 20, had 60 points (20 goals, 40 assists) in 54 games for the Vernon Vipers of the British Columbia Hockey League last season. He recorded 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) in 11 playoff games.

Coughlin, from South Boston, Mass., was selected by Edmonton in the fifth round (130th overall) of the 2014 NHL draft.

Nilsson, 25, had a 20-9-8 record, .936 save percentage and 1.71 goals-against average in 38 regular-season games for Kazan Ak-Bars of the Kontinental Hockey League last season.
