BRIEF: Blackhawks Game Day: Lead Hurricanes 2-1 after two periods

March 24--RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Chicago Blackhawks continued their four-game road trip when the faced the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night at PNC Arena.

The Hawks had split the first two games of the trip.

Second period update

After 40 minutes of play, the Hawks led 2-1. Patrick Sharp and Andrew Shaw scored for the Hawks while Victor Rask did so the Hurricanes.

In the nets

Corey Crawford started his second consecutive game for the Hawks and was opposed by Anton Khudobin.

Roster report

Scratches for the Hawks were forwards Andrew Desjardins and Daniel Carcillo and defenseman David Rundblad. Sitting for the Hurricanes were Brad Malone, Jack Hillen, Rasmus Rissanen and Brett Bellemore.
