Feb. 08--ST. LOUIS -- The Chicago Blackhawks finally reached the end of their extended road trip when they faced the St. Louis Blues on Sunday at Scottrade Center.
The game marked the seventh in a row away from home for the Hawks and they entered the contest against the Blues with a 3-3-0 mark.
First period update
After 20 minutes of high-intensity play, the Hawks led 1-0 on the strength of Marcus Kruger's fifth goal of the season. The center broke into the Blues zone two-on-one with Daniel Carcillo and wired a wrist shot past Blues goaltender Brian Elliott.
In the nets
Corey Crawford started his third consecutive game in goal for the Hawks and was opposed by Elliott for the Blues.

Healthy scratches for the Hawks were forward Joakim Nordstrom and defenseman Tim Erixon. Sitting for the Blues were Joakim Lindstrom and Jori Lehtera.
