BRIEF: Blackhawks-Ducks regular-season recap

May 16--Hawks won series 2-1-0.

Oct. 28 at the United Center

Ducks 1, Blackhawks 0: In a terrific goaltending duel, the Ducks' John Gibson made 38 saves to get the better of Hawks rookie Scott Darling. The only goal came midway through the third period when Devante Smith-Pelly beat Darling on a short-handed breakaway. Darling made 24 saves in the tough-luck loss.

Nov. 28 at the Honda Center

Blackhawks 4, Ducks 1: In the midst of their annual Circus Trip, the Hawks rolled into Anaheim, Calif., and rolled the Ducks. Patrick Kane had two goals, while Brad Richards and Andrew Shaw each added a goal and an assist to make a winner of goaltender Corey Crawford (23 saves). Frederik Andersen made 34 saves, but the Ducks managed only a Hampus Lindholm goal. The Hawks improved to 4-1-0 on the trip.

Jan. 30 at the Honda Center

Blackhawks 4, Ducks 1: In the final regular-season meeting, the Hawks continued a seven-game trip with a terrific effort against the Western Conference-leading Ducks. Kane had two goals and an assist, Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith each scored and Patrick Sharp tied a career high with four assists. Crawford stopped 21 shots , Andersen 29.
