BRIEF: Blackhawks' Corey Crawford named NHL star of the month

Feb. 01--Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford has been the No. 1 of the NHL's "three stars" of January.

The two other stars were Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov and Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang.

Crawford went 9-2-0 with a 1.64 goals-against average, .952 save percentage and two shutouts in 11 gamess to pace the NHL in wins and helped the Blackhawks (33-16-4, 70 points) to an 11-3-0 record in January.

Crawford also won his first eight games of the month, extending his winning streak to a career-high nine games and the team's winning streak to a franchise-record 12 games.
