Nov. 05--Chicago Blackhawks center Marcus Kruger last week paid $852,500 to buy a recently renovated three-bedroom condo in a vintage building in the Gold Coast.
A Swedish native, Kruger, 25, was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2009 and began skating for the team in 2011.
Kruger's new unit has two baths, new windows, a private balcony, crown moldings, hardwood floors, solid core doors, skylights, high ceilings, custom built-ins, custom millwork, an in-ceiling surround sound system in each room, custom stone wood-burning fireplaces in the living room and the master bedroom, and a kitchen with a walk-in pantry.
Kruger isn't the only celebrity to own in the building. Comedian Jeff Garlin in 2010 paid $591,700 for a three-bedroom unit on the second floor.
The agent representing Kruger in the purchase, Curt Ratcliff of @properties, declined to comment on the deal.
