Feb. 21--Jonathan Toews sent out his first tweet on Sunday morning, and the Blackhawks official team account confirmed the Captain's identity.
In a good move for a Twitter rookie, he followed several of his former and current teammates including Patrick Kane, Andrew Shaw, Scott Darling, Patrick Sharp, Brandon Saad and Nick Leddy.
And Shaw wasted no time in welcoming/chirping Toews.
In less than 30 minutes, Toews (not yet Twitter verified) already had more than 8,000 new followers and counting. You can follow him at @JonathanToews.
