June 01--The Blackhawks will take on the Penguins, Blues and Red Wings during the six-game preseason portion of their 2016-17 schedule, the team announced Wednesday.
The Hawks will face each at home and on the road with the first game coming against the Penguins on Sept. 28. The other home games include Oct. 1 against the Blues and Oct. 4 against the Red Wings.
The Hawks will travel to play the Penguins on Sept. 30, the Red Wings on Oct. 2 and the Blues on Oct. 8.
Several of the Hawks' big name players will be participating in the World Cup of Hockey in Toronto, which is slated to end Oct. 1.
