BRIEF: Blackhawks agree to deal with forward Tanner Kero

April 02--Tanner Kero, a 22-year-old forward from Michigan Tech, agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Blackhawks, the team announced Thursday.

Kero had 46 points (20 goals, 26 assists) in 41 games as a senior, good enough to lead the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. He scored seven game-winning goals and was named WCHA Player of the Year last season. Kero had 55 goals and 56 assists in 153 career college games.

He will report to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
