BRIEF: Lanes reopened on 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar after big rig crash

May 15--At least one person was injured early Friday when two big rigs collided on the eastbound 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar, closing several lanes of traffic, but they have since reopened, authorities said.

California Highway Patrol officers were alerted to the crash at 1:22 a.m. after one truck rear-ended the other near the Grand Avenue exit, CHP Officer Jennifer Cassidy said.

Officers remained on the scene early Friday investigating the incident, she said.

The CHP issued a SigAlert and said all lanes of the eastbound freeway except the carpool lane and one other lane would be closed until about 9 a.m.

All lanes were reopened about 7:45 a.m., the CHP said.

Traffic was moving slowly through the area, near where the eastbound 60 and northbound 57 freeways merge.
