Oct. 04--The Bears finalized the signing of free-agent punter Spencer Lanning on Saturday and waived defensive lineman Brandon Dunn to make room for him on the roster.
Lanning, who was in training camp with the Bears in 2011, will take Pat O'Donnell's place Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. O'Donnell sprained his right knee during last Sunday's 26 -- 0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
The Bears waived Dunn despite listing three defensive lineman as questionable for Sunday's game: Jermiah Ratliff (ankle), Ego Ferguson (knee) and Will Sutton (left elbow).
