Nov. 03--The Bears officially placed Lamarr Houston on the injured reserve list Monday, a week after learning that the fifth-year defensive end had torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. In a related move, fellow defensive end David Bass was elevated to the 53-man roster off the practice squad.
Bass played in 12 games as a rookie last season and saw limited action earlier this fall during the Bears' Week 4 loss to the Packers.
The Bears also added offensive tackle Jason Weaver to their practice squad.
