BRIEF: Bears lose another assistant coach, this time to Chip Kelly

Jan. 22--The NFL's coaching carousel continues to bring about change for the Chicago Bears. For the second time this week, an assistant coach reportedly has left for a greater role with another team.

Derius Swinton, the Bears' assistant special teams coordinator in 2015, will join the San Francisco 49ers as the special teams coordinator for new coach Chip Kelly, the Sacramento Bee reported Friday, citing multiple anonymous sources.

Swinton was on John Fox's staff in Denver from 2013-14 under special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers, who also followed Fox to the Bears.

Earlier this week, Bears offensive assistant Bo Hardegree left the team to join Adam Gase's staff as the Miami Dolphins' quarterback coach.

The Bears still have a quarterbacks coach vacancy, a ripple effect from Gase's departure.
