BRIEF: Bears' DT Stephen Paea second in fan voting for Pro Bowl

Dec. 17--The Bears' Stephen Paea finished second in Pro Bowl fan voting among all NFL defensive tackles, the league announced Wednesday.

Fan voting counts for one-third of the Pro Bowl selection process; coaches' voting counts for one third, and players' voting counts for the final third.

Paea, in his fourth season, has six sacks, which rank seventh among NFL defensive tackles. He has benefited in the final year of his rookie contract from improved health. He regained much of his power this season after being hampered by a sprained big toe in 2013.

Paea finished with 297,826 votes. The Bills' Marcell Dareus led all defensive tackles with 331,006 votes. Dareus' 10 sacks are most of any tackle in the league.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers led all players with 1,015,004 votes.

Pro Bowl rosters are scheduled to be revealed on Dec. 23.
