BRIEF: Bar Siena sets opening date, accepting reservations now

July 15--The long-awaited Bar Siena (832 W. Randolph St., 312-492-7775), the DineAmic Group's sequel to Siena Tavern in River North, will open July 25. Reservations are available now.

This will be a more informal Italian concept than Siena Tavern; both spots are being overseen by chef Fabio Viviani. Measuring 8,000 square feet across two stories, with room for 180 guests, Bar Siena will focus on Italian street food, cicchetti (little bites, i.e., small plates) and pizza. The restaurant's focal point will be a red-tiled pizza oven.

Attached to the restaurant will be BomboBar, a streetside walk-up counter dispensing bomboloni (doughnut holes in creative flavors), gelato and coffees.
