BRIEF: Baconfest VIP tickets go on sale Wednesday

Dec. 01--Baconfest Chicago is four months away, but the time to secure tickets is now.

Starting at noon Wednesday, VIP tickets ($200) will go on sale at baconfestchicago.com. VIP tickets are good for one-day admission (there are three separate Baconfest sessions, on April 17, 18 and 19, all at the UIC Forum) and earn ticketholders an extra hour of bacon bacchanalia before general admission begins. All tickets include free food samples from participating chefs (typically there are 50 chefs participating; names will be released in January), drink tickets and a Baconfest tote bag.

General-admission tickets ($100) will go on sale in February. All previous Baconfest events have sold out.
