BRIEF: Avondale crash injures 3 children, 4 adults

Jan. 26--Three children and four adults were injured in a six-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side, according to authorities.

The crash happened about 8:05 a.m. in the 3200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to police, who said one of the vehicles may have run into a building.

Two children were taken in serious-to-critical condition to Lutheran General Hospital, and the third child was taken in fair-to-serious condition to the same hospital, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Three adults were taken in fair-to-serious condition to Lutheran General, and the fourth adult was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition.
