BRIEF: Autopsy: Man killed in Dolton shooting

May 17--A Chicago man has died after being shot in south suburban Dolton, officials said.

Demetrius Southerland, 21, of the 0 to 100 block of East 101st Street, was pronounced dead at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Advocate Christ Medical Center, officials said.

Southerland was shot on the 14800 block of Kimbark Avenue in Dolton, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

An autopsy conducted Sunday determined that Southerland died of a gunshot wound to his head, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.

Dolton police could not provide any details about the incident.
