May 04--A Summit man died of a gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was ruled a homicide Sunday, according to an autopsy.
Dakota Smith, 21, of the 6000 block of Archer Road, was pronounced dead at 9:13 a.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Smith was shot in the 5300 block of 74th Avenue in Summit, according to the office.
Officials with the Summit Police Department could not be reached for comment.
