Feb. 13--Winger Artemi Panarin will play tonight for the Blackhawks against the Ducks after missing the last two games because of an illness, coach Joel Quenneville said Saturday.
The Hawks held an optional skate with Panarin as one of the participants.
The Hawks struggled to score without Panarin in lineup and lost their two games.
"He's been an important player for us right from the outset there, and he's dangerous,"
Quenneville said. "He gives that line another threat and our offense was a little light the last two games."
Quenneville seems primed to shake up his lineup tonight. He said both defensemen Viktor Svedberg and Michal Rozsival are playing, meaning likely either Erik Gustafsson or Trevor van Riemsdyk will be a healthy scratch. Quenneville declined to name who.
Quenneville, who was not on the ice for the morning skate, did take a few moments to come out and talk to Gustafsson during the skate and Gustafsson stayed on the ice longer than van Riemsdyk this morning, typically a sign that Gustafsson may not be playing.
Quenneville also hinted there could be line changes, especially on the bottom six forwards.
