BRIEF: Armed intruders rob three people in Canoga Park motel room, police say

May 25--Two men, one armed with a machete and the other a handgun, forced their way into a Canoga Park motel room late Sunday and robbed the three occupants inside, authorities said.

The incident occurred at about midnight at the Paradise Lodge Hotel in the 20100 block of Roscoe Boulevard, said Los Angeles police Officer Jane Kim.

"The two males door-knocked one of the motel rooms and when the occupants opened the door, forced their way in," Kim said. "They demanded their property. Fortunately, no one was injured."

It was unclear what the men stole. Descriptions of the robbers were not released.

Police were investigating, Kim said.
