BRIEF: Arlington Heights man is 9th to die from cold exposure in Cook County

Jan. 30--An Arlington Heights man whose body was found outside his home in the Camelot Park neighborhood this week died from hypothermia due to exposure to the cold, the ninth person to die from cold exposure since the beginning of the season, officials said.

Marvin Miller, 78, was found unconscious outside his Thorntree Terrace home by a newspaper delivery person before 6 a.m. Thursday morning, police said. He is the ninth person to die from cold exposure in Cook County since the beginning of the season, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The medical examiner's office has also ruled the manner of death as accidental, with cardiovascular disease as a contributing factor.
