Nov. 27--The Chicago Tribune Media Group's Lake Forester reports: When Blase Cupich was installed as Chicago's ninth archbishop earlier this month, the Rev. Michael McGovern of Lake Forest's Church of St. Mary wanted him to feel welcome -- so he invited Cupich to join his congregation on Thanksgiving morning.
The new archbishop quickly accepted.
"I think it was the only invitation I received from a parish to come on Thanksgiving, so I took it," Cupich said after the conclusion of the nearly hourlong holiday Mass. "It's as simple as that."
