BRIEF: Anthony Rizzo, Steve Kerr get laughs at Second City

Jan. 21--Anthony Rizzo and Steve Kerr recently showed off some comedy and improv chops, making appearances at Second City within a week of each other.

Kerr, a former guard from the Bulls' second championship threepeat, was in town to coach his Golden State Warriors Wednesday against the Bulls, but he made time to go onstage Tuesday as a surprise guest for "Fool Me Twice, Deja Vu." Kerr brought his coaching staff to the show, Second City posted on its Instagram page.

Last week, Rizzo was the star of "Laugh-Off for Cancer," a comedy revue that featured several other Cubs onstage and raised $250,000 for Rizzo's foundation, which supports cancer research and families dealing with the disease.

Rizzo kicked off the festivities with a segment called "Rizzo Event Sports Desk," and he also did a "Grease" musical number in front of the sold-out crowd.

Jason Hammel, Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and John Lackey join Second City actors for a skit called "Dr. Know it All," and Jake Arrieta and Travis Wood got laughs with a "moving bodies" bit. Kyle Schwarber and Justin Grimm took part in another sketch.

Arrieta and Rizzo closed out the night with a "Karaoke Debate."
