BRIEF: 'Annie' coming back to Chicago

Feb. 29--Broadway in Chicago announced Monday that the iconic red-headed orphan is coming back to Chicago for one week of shows.

The non-Equity national tour of "Annie," now in its second year, will return to the Cadillac Palace Theatre from Nov. 9 -- 13, 2016. The production is directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin, who won a Tony for the show in 1977.

"Annie," the Depression-era rags-to-riches tale of an optimistic orphan, features a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Charnin.

The Cadillac Palace Theatre is located at 151 W. Randolph.
