BRIEF: Animal Planet show to feature Jimmy Butler's new boombox aquarium

Oct. 15--Jimmy Butler is making a splash with his new River North mansion. The Chicago Bulls guard is getting a boombox-themed aquarium installed Friday for an Animal Planet show.

"Tanked" stars Wayde King and Brett Raymer are setting up the aquarium and filming Butler's reaction for the Nov. 13 episode, Animal Planet rep Karin Failla said.

The aquarium, a replica of a boombox, will have a wireless speaker system on top so music can come through the tank, Failla said. The 9-foot-tall, 10-foot-long aquarium holds more than 600 gallons and the fish will include the porcupine puffer, the maroon clownfish and the red pygmy possum wrasse, Failla said.

Butler, 26, purchased a six-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot mansion last month for $4.3 million that includes a custom staircase, an elevator and a 750-bottle wine cellar.

Butler, who was selected by the Bulls in the 2011 NBA draft, signed a five-year contract worth more than $90 million in July.

Butler is not the only celebrity with Chicago ties to be featured on "Tanked." Sherri Shepherd, a former co-host of "The View" who grew up in Chicago and Hoffman Estates, appeared on the show earlier this month.

"Tanked" airs Fridays at 9 p.m.
