BRIEF: Andrew Kerns named chef de cuisine at Autre Monde

Aug. 12--Mediterranean restaurant Autre Monde Cafe Spirits (6727 W. Roosevelt Rd., Berwyn) has named Andrew Kerns as its new (and first) chef de cuisine.

"We have been very particular in waiting for the right person to come along," said owner Christine Tully Aranza in a press release. "Andrew has impressed us with his dedication to, and passion for, our concept, and impressed us with his menu contributions."

Kerns, whose background includes cooking stints at Bavette's Bar Boeuf and the late Dillman's, has been working under Autre Monde executive chefs Beth Partridge and Dan Pancake since September.
