Jan. 07--Turns out, sex jokes and the red carpet don't mix.
"Transparent" star Amy Landecker, who grew up in Chicago, recalled running into Don Cheadle on the Golden Globes red carpet last year after filming a sex scene with him for the Showtime series "House of Lies." She said she was nervous and in an "overstimulated mode where you say something really stupid and you try to be funny and you're not."
"I like walk up and I'm like, 'Hey Don, do you remember me? You (expletive) me up the (expletive) three times," Landecker told Conan O'Brien Wednesday on "Conan." "And he goes, 'My kids are standing right behind me.'"
Landecker, whose father is legendary Chicago DJ John "Records" Landecker, said she started crying after the encounter. Landecker will likely be back on the red carpet Sunday for the Golden Globes since "Transparent" has been nominated for best television series (musical or comedy).
Amazon released the second season of the series, about a transgender woman and her family, last month. Landecker, 46, also is slated to appear in the upcoming Marvel movie "Doctor Strange."
"Conan" airs weeknights on TBS at 10 p.m.
