BRIEF: Alfonso Ribeiro buys a Granada Hills home where he can play host

Nov. 01--Alfonso Ribeiro, who hosts "America's Funniest Home Videos," has bought a Granada Hills home for $1,937,500.

The contemporary Mediterranean, built in 2005, is designed for entertaining. French doors open to a patio with a dining area and pool table. An outdoor barbecue, a brick pizza oven, a sink, an ice maker, a keg, a warming drawer, a refrigerator and a brick fireplace with sitting area are among the party-ready amenities.

A recreation/pool house of about 1,500 square feet includes game areas, nightclub lighting, a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom.

There's also a basketball half-court and a solar-heated swimming pool, which has a grotto, a waterfall, a slide, a spa and a swim-up water bar with four seats.

In the main house, the master suite features a balcony for a total of eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 7,530 square feet of living space. The maid's quarters have a separate entrance.

Views take in the mountains and cityscape.

Ribeiro, 44, gained television notice on the sitcoms "Silver Spoons" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

Jay Fondevila of Sunset Group Realty was the listing agent. Craig Strong of John Aaroe represented Ribeiro.
