BRIEF: Adoree' Jackson scheduled to compete again for track team

April 14--Now that USC's spring football practice has ended, Adoree' Jackson will concentrate on track and field.

Jackson, a cornerback, receiver and kick returner as a freshman last season, won the long jump and ran two relays at the Trojan Invitational last month. But football Coach Steve Sarkisian delayed his return to track until after Saturday's spring finale at the Coliseum.

"I'm happy to go out there and compete and just be out there with the team," Jackson said. "Try to get a Pac-12 championship and go to nationals."

Jackson said he would begin this week to condition for track.

"The long jump is just going out there and competing and doing the right things fundamentally and technique," he said. "There's nothing that you need to catch up on. You got it or you don't."

USC will participate in the Mt. San Antonio College Relays this weekend.
