BRIEF: Actor Greg Plitt was filming when hit, killed by Metrolink train

Jan. 18--Filming was underway when actor and model George Gregory Plitt Jr. was fatally struck Saturday afternoon by a Metrolink train, according to Burbank police.

Police have ruled out suicide as a cause of the crash, which occurred just after 4 p.m. on Saturday. Witnesses told police that there was filming underway when the 37-year-old was hit by a southbound train on the tracks just north of the Burbank Metrolink Station, Burbank police Sgt. Chris Canales said.

"We have no idea who was filming or why," Canales said.

Plitt was known as the star of the Bravo reality show "Work Out," and had also appeared on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" and films such as "Terminator Salvation" and "Grudge Match," according to the Internet Movie Database.

"We couldn't take our eyes off Greg Plitt after we cast him on 'Work Out'-was as nice as he was beautiful," Bravo talk show host Andy Cohen wrote on Twitter on Sunday morning. "Seemed invincible, like Superman."
