BRIEF: A kid-size Tesla for the baby executive who has it all

Feb. 16--Is there anything smugger than a 5-year-old child behind the wheel of his or her own miniature Tesla?

We're about to find out.

Chicago-based Radio Flyer is selling a child-size version of Tesla's luxury high-performance Model S sedan -- complete with electric motor, sound system and working headlights.

For $500, spoiled, pint-size plutocrats will be able to plug in their little Tesla, just like their environmentally conscious mommies and daddies. A $15 vanity plate and a $50 car cover, like the one available for full-size Teslas, complete the effect.

Unlike the real Model S, which has a "ludicrous speed" setting, the toy version tops out at 6 mph. Pushing it down a really, really steep hill may allow for higher velocities, however.

Radio Flyer is accepting preorders for the miniature whip now but won't start shipping until May, it says.
