Feb. 22--Eight people, including children, were taken to hospitals after a van crashed near a ramp to the Chicago Skyway on the South Side early Monday, fire officials said.
The van crashed near the ramp from Stony Island Avenue at about 5:15 a.m., officials said.
Three people were taken to Comer Children's Hospital: one in fair-to-serious condition, and two in good-to-fair condition.
Two people were taken in good-to-fair condition to South Shore Hospital. Three people were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, one in fair-to-serious condition and two in good-to-fair condition.
