BRIEF: One hurt in fire at Gresham home

Feb. 10--One person was injured early Wednesday when a fire broke out in a home in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, fire officials said.

Crews responded to the fire at the 1 1/2-story residence in the 1000 block of West 88th Street around 3 a.m., according to a Fire Department spokesman.

One person was burned on the hand and taken to a hospital. He and five other people were displaced and relocated with the help of the Red Cross. No information was available about the ages of the people.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
