Jan. 06--Five people have been charged with murder in the shooting death of a security guard at an all-night New Year's Eve roller-skating party, authorities said.
The charged were identified as Topaz Prince Crummie, 20, of San Jacinto; Adrian Gentry, 17, of Adelanto and three Perris residents: Laquan Trice, 15; Maurice Lamont Martin, 17, and 18-year-old Ezekiel Isaiah George, according to San Bernardino County prosecutors.
All were charged as adults in the death of the security guard, 48-year-old Richard Williamson, according to a criminal complaint. Because two other people, Javier Rubio Leon and Schuylar Williams, were wounded in the incident at Cal Skate in Grand Terrace, the five suspected gang members were also charged with attempted murder, according to the complaint.
About 400 people were attending the New Year's Eve party when shots were fired, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department.
When deputies arrived, they found three men with gunshot wounds. Williamson was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Investigators are still seeking witnesses.
