BRIEF: 4 wounded in Chicago shootings

April 13--Four people were wounded in shootings on the South and West sides Tuesday night, police said.

At 9:30 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in Canaryville. He was driving in the 4100 block of South Halsted Street when someone in a passing red Dodge Durango shot him multiple times in the arm and torso. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

A 29-year-old man took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital after being shot in Lawndale about 8:55 p.m. He told investigators he was on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of South St. Louis Avenue when someone exited a vehicle and shot him in the forearm. He was listed in good condition.

Two teens were wounded in the South Chicago neighborhood Tuesday night. The two, both 17, were shot about 7:30 p.m. in the 8100 block of South Kingston Avenue, police said.

They were walking when someone in a passing sedan fired toward them, hitting one in the left hand and one in the right. Both were taken to South Shore Hospital in good condition, police said. No one is in custody.
