Sept. 09--Four people were seriously injured in a crash in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The crash in the 4200 block of West Jackson Boulevard sent four people to area hospitals in serious-to-critical condition said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Chief Jeff Lyle.
Crews were called to the two-car crash at 5:18 p.m., and fire officials called an EMS Plan 1, which sends at least six ambulances to a scene. None of those injured were trapped in the vehicles.
Two people were taken to Stroger Hospital and two to Mount Sinai Hospital, said Lyle, who did not have ages on those injured.
Police News Affairs did not have any information about the crash as of about 6:20 p.m.
