Oct. 05--3Arts, a non-profit organization that advocates for women artists, artists of color and artists with disabilities, has announced the recipients of its 2015 awards. Ten Chicago artists in the performing, teaching and visual arts will each receive an unrestricted $25,000.
The winners are: dancer Kris Lenzo, choreographer Stephanie Martinez, vocalist Frank Wain, instrumentalist Chihsuan Yang, teaching artists Benji Hart and Chris Silva, actors Allen Gilmore and Fawzia Mirza and visual artists Cheryl Pope and Fo Wilson.
The awards will be presented Oct. 5 at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
