Feb. 24--Three people were injured in a car crash on Interstate 80 near southwest suburban Mokena early Tuesday morning.
A semi-truck collided with a passenger car around 4:40 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-80 west of South La Grange Road, said Illinois State Police Joilet District Sgt. Jeff Liskh.
Three people, whose ages and genders were not immediately available, were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Liskh said.
As of 6 a.m., crews were still cleaning up the crash scene, but traffic was able to pass through, Liskh said.
The accident is still under investigation.
