BRIEF: 3 charged with stealing clothes from suburban Macy's on Christmas Eve

Dec. 26--Three Chicago women worked together on Christmas Eve to steal more than $2,000 in clothing from a Macy's store in south suburban Orland Park, according to Cook County prosecutors.

Yue Huang, 34, Shunai Li, 55, and Caichang Li, 57, were each charged with retail theft for stealing 45 items of clothing from Macy's totaling $2,055, prosecutors alleged in court Thursday.

Each woman "passed all points of purchase without making attempt to pay for items" at the Macy's at Orland Square Mall, 1 Orland Square Drive, in the south suburb, prosecutors said.

Officers were called to the store about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Prosecutors and police reports did not detail what types of clothing were stolen.

The women were caught on video surveillance, prosecutors said.

The women were each ordered held on $25,000 bond. Huang and Caichang Li, who both live in the 4000 block of South Richmond Street, were still in the County Jail on Thursday evening, while Shunain Li, of the 4300 block of South Campbell Avenue, was no longer being held in custody, according to records.
