Feb. 03--Police are investigating after discovering early Wednesday that multiple car windows had been shot out in a Costa Mesa neighborhood.
A passerby saw three parked cars with shattered windows about 4:15 a.m. near the intersection of Royal Palm and Minorca drives, Costa Mesa police Sgt. Mike Manson said.
The passerby called police, and officers found the cars' windows had been shot out with a BB gun.
Police don't have any information about a suspect at this point, Manson said. An estimate on the cost of the damage to the cars wasn't immediately available.
Last year, 33 vehicles' windows were similarly shot out in a Costa Mesa neighborhood just over a mile west of Wednesday's vandalism.
