April 23--Chicago police arrested three people late Wednesday after the vehicle in which they were riding struck two police squad cars during a chase in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side, authorities said.
About 11:20 p.m., police were chasing a vehicle near Newport and Linder avenues when the vehicle struck the squad cars, said Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
No one was injured in the crash, and three people who were inside the vehicle were taken into custody at School Street and Cicero Avenue, Gaines said.
Charges are pending against the three, and no other information was immediately available.
