BRIEF: 26 injured in bus crash in San Bernardino Mountains

May 23--More than two dozen people were injured Saturday when a shuttle bus rolled over on Highway 330 in the San Bernardino Mountains, north of the city of Highland.

Fire officials responded to the scene shortly after 2 p.m., authorities said. Twenty-six of the 50 people on the bus suffered injuries, according to the San Bernardino County Fire District.

Authorities shut down Highway 330 from Highland Avenue to City Creek Ranger Station.

Numerous agencies were called in to assist. About an hour after the crash, officials were requesting five additional ground ambulances, authorities said.

By 3:45 p.m., all of the injured had been transported to local hospitals, fire officials.

It was unclear how long the road closures would remain in effect.
