Nov. 15--A man was killed and at least nine others have been wounded since midmorning Saturday in shootings across Chicago, police said.

About 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a 25-year-old man was fatally shot in Rogers Park on the Far North Side, police said.

Eric Jordan, of the 4600 block of North Racine Avenue, was pronounced dead at 1:04 p.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

He was in the 1600 block of West Howard Street when he was shot in the chest and back, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago police spokeswoman. He was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition and later pronounced dead.

The man was found in Willye B. White Park, where an event let out as police investigated the scene. Another man was shot and killed at the same park in July 2013.

Police initially said the man was 26 years old.

At 4:15 a.m. Sunday, a 24-year-old woman was shot in West Rogers Park on the Far North Side, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

She was in the 6000 block of North Western Avenue when she was shot in the head. She walked in to the emergency room at Swedish Covenant Hospital, and her condition was stabilized.

At 3:50 a.m. Sunday, a 16-year-old boy was shot in Albany Park on the Northwest Side, Sedevic said.

He was in a vehicle in the 4100 block of North Drake Avenue when the driver of another vehicle fired shots. He was hit in the shoulder and back and went to Swedish Covenant Hospital, and his condition was stabilized.

About 9:40 p.m. Saturday, three men were shot in Lawndale on the West Side, Greer said.

They were outside in the 4000 block of West Arthington Street when someone came out from an alley and fired shots, Greer said.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the leg and groin, a 41-year-old man was grazed in the arm, and a 45-year-old man was shot in the buttocks. All went to Mount Sinai Hospital, and their conditions were stabilized.

At least one man was shot about 8:10 p.m. Saturday in an attack in the 1600 block of North Washtenaw Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said.

A 28-year-old man was riding a bicycle when three men drove up in a small black station wagon, yelled gang slogans and then fired shots at him, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a police spokeswoman. The attackers, who included one man or boy wearing a gray skullcap and a black hoodie, then drove west on North Avenue, Trainor said.

The victim went to Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where he was in good condition.

At 6:44 p.m. Saturday in the Belmont Central neighborhood on the Northwest Side, a 19-year-old man was shot in the 5900 block of West Wrightwood Avenue, Trainor said. The man was in his car with his girlfriend when a black vehicle with four people inside pulled up alongside him and someone inside fired about six shots, hitting the man three times in his legs, she said.

Following the shooting, the man's girlfriend drove him to Community First Medical Center. His condition was stabilized.

Earlier Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the city's Gresham neighborhood, police said.

That shooting happened about 10:40 a.m. in the 7500 block of South Peoria Street on the South Side, Sedevic said.

According to preliminary information, a boy was walking on Peoria Street when a red sedan pulled alongside him and someone jumped out. The person opened fire in the boy's direction before fleeing the scene, Sedevic said.

The 16-year-old was shot in the right hand and grazed in the chest. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Sedevic said.
