BRIEF: 2 trains canceled on Metra's BNSF line because of mechanical problems

Feb. 06--Two trains on Metra's Burlington Northern Santa Fe line were canceled Friday morning because of mechanical problems.

Train 1209, scheduled to depart Chicago at 6:45 a.m. and arrive in Westmont at 7:10 a.m., was canceled and Train 1215 accommodated those passengers, according to an alert on Metra's website.

Train 1258, scheduled to leave Lisle at 8:09 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 8:51 a.m., also stopped operating due to mechanical problems, according to the alert. Trains 1370 and 1256 accommodated those passengers.
